人吉駅から徒歩3分のところに「朝陽館」というビジネスホテルがあるんですが、元日本旅館なので大浴場は温泉なんです！
しかも、サチソ一押しの「華まき温泉」（ここは車がないといけない炭酸泉）みたいにトロ～っとしていてお肌つるつるになります◎
そんな朝陽館の前を通りかかると、な！な！なんと！！
立ち寄り湯の営業時間が延びているではありませんか～｡°(´∩ω∩`)°｡感涙
入浴時間 17～21時！
これで夕飯の後もゆっくり温泉につかれます～♪
さっき昔は日本旅館だったと言いましたが、たしか代替わりの時にホテルになったとかなんとか。

My favorite onsen : Choyokan edition
There is a business hotel called Choyokan just a 3 minute-walk from Hitoyoshi Station. Since it used to be a ryokan (a Japanese style hotel), its large bath is actually an onsen (hot spring).
The water properties are similar to another one of my favorites, Hanamaki Onsen (a carbonated hot spring that requires a car to access). It is a bit thick and makes your skin smooth.
As I walked by the hotel one day….
Oh my god!
They extended the hours for public use of the bath!!!
The new hours are now 5 to 9 p.m.
Now I can relax in this onsen even after dinner!
As I mentioned earlier, this hotel used to be a ryokan. I heard it became a hotel when ownership changed. I was searching for the facts when I came along an amazing online blog!
It is called Sento Sepia’s Sepia na Hitoyoshi (Hitoyoshi in Sepia)
There are nine articles just about Choyokan.
According to this article, the owner used to be a lumber dealer.
It makes sense since Hitoyoshi used to flourish in lumber trading.
Since the latest update was in 2016, I hope Sento Sepia is still well.
